Where are the Clowns? Send in the Clowns....

Gosh, I miss chatting with friends and keeping up-to-date with everyone on Facebook and Twitter and here on my blog but a few things have kept me from my normal routine...namely....

I've been under contract with the Cirque du Soleil's Logistic Department, dividing my time working on various Merchandising and Costume projects, while brushing shoulders with clowns and other performers in the hallways! It was supposed to be for 6 weeks. I've been there 7 wonderfully exciting months!

When I'm not working or doing Mom Things (like chauffeuring & refereeing sibling squabbles) I'm collaborating on Bleeding Ink - a Collection of Dark Tales anthology with two friends and fellow InkBabes, Pat Hollett & Tammy Crosby. The editing is completed, now we're preparing the anthology for publication and distribution. Release date to follow.

"Bound" Those who beta read my full-length manuscript have asked me to stop procrastinating and get it published. So, I'm working on it - and by that I mean doing the last edits...finally!

One Night with You - a tribute to Elvis Presley, is another project keeping me busy.

With an ensemble of 11 musicians including "Elvis", scheduling rehearsals and performances can be tricky, but worth all the effort. We just played Calistoga Bar and Grill and had a blast!  Looks like we'll be taking the show on the road, heading West soon.

Authors I've recently read:
Kelley Armstrong, Jim Butcher, Charlaine Harris, Maggie Shayne, Christine Feehan, Christina Dodd

I picked up the Twilight Saga again.

Guilty pleasure or light summer reading, call it what you will. All I know is I find it as entertaining (and addictive) as the first time!  Edward Cullen....*sigh*  LOL!

Books I can't wait to get my hands on:
Thirteen by Kelley Armstrong
Iced by Karen Marie Moning

That's about all the news in my corner of the world - for now.

When we release our anthology, I plan on inviting some of the contributing authors to have a chat.

May your muse continue to inspire great things.....

Yours,
Lisa

Hi, Lisa. It sounds like it's been a good kind of busy.

I wondered what became of you! Well, now all I want to know is when will the Cirque du Soleil folks notice that they have one of the most talented performers in Montreal working for them, and put you in the show?
